ABOUT THE ARLINGTON SENATORS
The Arlington Senators Baseball Club is the travel arm of Arlington Senior Babe Ruth. We field multiple teams across various age groups from 13U, 14U, JV (15U -fall) and Varsity (16-18U-Fall) . Our goal is to help our players grow in a high school-level atmosphere, focused on developing players for the next step. Senators schedules are integrated into the ASBR schedules to allow players who desire additional baseball opportunities to play with their peers in a recreational league while also receiving additional instruction and game play through a travel experience. Most Senators coaches are former college players and many are coaches at local high schools. Regular season weekend games will occur in coordination with Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League (NVTBL). Additional weekday games will be scheduled against other local travel baseball programs. All Senators teams will participate in two or three tournaments which will require out of town travel.
"The Senators Way" is to teach the game of baseball in an energetic and positive manner to develop, educate, and mentor young men in their journeys to achieve their goals on and off the field and be valuable members within the Arlington community. Senators will lead by example with passion, preparation and adaptability. We are responsible for the physical and mental health and safety of all players. Senators will act with respect, integrity, sportsmanship and high character.
It is a great source of pride for both ASBR and the Senators program that many players, who began in Arlington Little League and Arlington Cal Ripken Babe Ruth, have journeyed on to have successful high school careers and beyond. These youth teams are well represented by players in collegiate ball, including George Washington University, VMI, Kenyon College, Randolph-Macon, Linfield and Christopher Newport University. In recent years, almost every Arlington player who has gone on to play college baseball has been a part of the ASBR/Arlington Senators program.
