Art Saenz covered the bases for Arlington Senior Babe Ruth, literally. He started as a parent and coach, cheering for his sons. After his boys graduated from the league, Art continued to coach and also served as the Umpire-in-Chief, sometimes filling in to call a game himself. He joined the board of directors and served as a commissioner for many years. He was passionate about baseball and dedicated to baseball in Arlington.

Art died at the end of the fall season, October 2019, from complications of cancer. We are honored to remember him by offering scholarship assistance to players in need so all can enjoy the sport that Art loved.
